Mr David Trebeck
Mr Trebeck is Managing Director of ACIL Consulting Pty Ltd, an economic and policy consulting company, and is based in Canberra. He is also a director of the publicly listed companies Incitec Ltd and Pipers Brook Vineyard Limited.
Through his consulting business Mr Trebeck has taken particular interest in microeconomic reform and competitiveness issues, including in the agricultural, automotive, fisheries, forestry, aviation, food processing and mining industries.
Mr Trebeck has also held positions as a member of the Board of the Meat and Livestock Corporation (1984-1986), Executive committee member of the Australian Shippers Council (1980-84) and Deputy Director of the National Farmers’ Federation (1979-1983).

Mr John Landels AC
Mr Landels has considerable experience in corporate management in both the private and public sectors, having held senior executive positions in Australia and internationally, including Chairman and Chief Executive of Caltex Australia Limited (1977-1991), during which time he was also Vice President of Caltex Petroleum Corporation, Dallas, USA (1985-1987), being responsible for Caltex Interests in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Among a number of other private sector executive positions, Mr Landels served as a Director of AWA Limited (1988-1998), Air New Zealand Limited (1993-1998) and Mercantile and General Reinsurance Company of Australia Limited (1992-1997).
In the public sector, Mr Landels was Chairman of both the NSW State Transit Authority (1988-1992) and NSW State Rail Authority (1992-1996) and the National Grid Management Council (1992-1997).
Mr Landels was Chairman of the Australian Institute of Petroleum Limited in 1990.
Mr Kevin Hughes
Mr Hughes is Chief Executive Officer of the Service Station Association Ltd. Mr Hughes has had an extensive career in the Australian petroleum industry, including 16 years with Shell Co of Australia Ltd, where he held a number of petroleum executive positions encompassing the management of Shell’s distributor and Service Station networks.
On leaving Shell, Mr Hughes established the petroleum wholesale marketing company Hughes Petroleum Pty Ltd, which sold and distributed Shell petroleum products to service stations, commercial accounts, primary producers and government and also operated its own fleet of delivery vehicles and network of service stations. Mr Hughes sold the company after 8 years of operation.
During this period Mr Hughes was actively involved in the petroleum employer group the Australian Petroleum Agents and Distributors Association of which he was a NSW founding Director and National President for three terms.
In recent years, Mr Hughes has acted as a consultant to the petroleum products industry, advising and assisting wholesale petroleum distributors, the major oil companies and in his current role, service station owners, as Chief Executive Officer with the Service Station Association Ltd.
